This renovation is a testament to meticulous design, where the complexity and precision of the detailing is concealed in spaces that are effortlessly functional, comfortable and timeless.
This renovation blends timeless design with functional elegance. Behind the restored Tudor façade lies a transformed interior featuring open, flowing spaces tailored to modern family living. The reconfigured layout opens up small, singular rooms into generous spaces that seamlessly blend inside and out. The challenge of uniting old and new, and creating effortless, functional spaces was solved with meticulous detailing and collaboration. The result is a luxurious home balancing comfort, practicality, and timeless architectural design.
On the street side, the Tudor-style façade has been carefully repaired and restored, as if nothing has changed. However, upon entering through the front door, it’s clear that this home has been completely transformed.
The original home was characterised by small, disconnected rooms, and the clients' brief was clear: to open the spaces as much as possible, creating a sense of flow and connection throughout.
The finished result dramatically fulfils this brief. The staggered building line has been squared off into a single, straight line and extended, creating more space on the main floor and the levels above. The main living spaces now flow seamlessly to a new outdoor room, with pool and garden beyond.
Entering this house now, everything about it feels effortless and comfortable. It feels as though you could track wet footprints from the pool to the fridge or sit with a glass of wine by the outdoor fire, whether in rain or shine.
The finishes are luxurious and timeless, yet practical for the young family. The new outdoor room further extends the living space, offering a secondary area for entertaining, quiet relaxation by the fire, or gathering around the BBQ.
Extending the building line also allowed the bedrooms above to increase in size, including a more generous master suite, while the loft space was transformed into a self-contained, spacious area.
